To give you all a little backstory: I admit I’m usually overdressed. I’m pretty traditional in my belief that sweatpants are for the couch and not the street (unless we’re talking the sporty-chic Alexander Wang kind). I’ve never worn my workout clothes to college classes (mostly because I’m often heading to meetings or events afterwards) and it was a running joke of disbelief between my friends when I showed up to our sorority recruitment wearing Converse that I actually owned a pair of sneakers (funny, you guys).
Fortunately, Los Angeles is all about casual-cool fashion. Women may be dressed down on Melrose Avenue or Beverly Boulevard, but they’re still put together. When I’m wearing my bathrobe and standing in my closet in the morning, I’m usually thinking the same thing: what’s the perfect piece to wear that’s casual yet pulled together, comfortable to stay in all day and will work from day to night?
Enter this relaxed-fit black and white Bailey44 top. When I first put it on, the first thing I noticed were the luxe pajama-soft sleeves and pretty silk fabric. I love the loose, flattering fit and black and white simplicity – it can be dressed down, but still has some special detail. Safe to say I’ve found a new staple – what do you think?
