The power of good landscaping…

When we first decided to undergo our renovation, I didn’t realize what a difference the landscaping would make. Living in LA, I really wanted an indoor-outdoor space since the weather is mild here most of the year. However, in order to achieve that, we had to completely redo the landscaping. At first, I wanted to spend that extra money on the interior of our home, but I’m so glad we went ahead and decided to spend it on the backyard. Now, I love being able to enjoy my morning coffee outside and enjoy the views and fresh air. I also love being able to open our large sliding door to bring the outdoor elements inside. Anyway, I’m here to tell you that landscaping truly changes everything! Our backyard went from overgrown and outdated to a fresh, inviting, and truly beautiful space I get to enjoy just as much as inside our home.

I really wanted to be able to entertain outdoors, so we opted for a large outdoor dining table and chairs. I love being able to host dinners al fresco and invite our friends and family over for happy hour on the patio. We also got some cozy chairs and couches where we can enjoy our morning coffee or afternoon cocktails. I just love how the natural wood finishes match the Southern California landscaping and outdoor elements. It makes for a seamless transition between the interior and exterior of our home.
