NYFW was amazing, but I would have loved to travel to London and Milan for a taste of the European end of Fashion Week. Especially since so many of my favorite designers hail from overseas, seeing traditionally British and Italian runway shows in their home countries would be such a special experience. Here are the best looks, in my opinion, from the Spring 2013 collections of two beloved labels, Burberry and Blumarine.

Burberry is always street-style chic, but their spring collection took the trench coat to a new level. The classic staple was reinvented in gorgeous metallics and ombré tones. I absolutely loved the mermaid-like combination of a navy peplum top with a sparkling green pencil skirt.

Blumarine is one of my absolute favorite labels. It’s so feminine, beautifully cut and creative. Check out this sequin floral dress, and the intricate beading appliqué on another frock’s neckline. They’re perfect for a whimsical fairytale.
