A fresh coat of paint can make a world of difference…
One of the most asked questions in my DM’s is which “white” paint we used in our house. I get it – between the range of ivory to cream there are a million shades of white to choose from and you really have to get it right in order to nail that bright but cozy, warm feeling. It’s a rookie move to choose a shade that’s too stark – it can make a house feel sterile and sort of hospital-like, which I really dislike. On the other hand, going too warm can turn things a bit yellow when sunshine is pouring in.
Here’s what we used, including our grey door color! Keep in mind the finish you choose is also important – we typically did a semi gloss on the walls and doors but flat on the ceiling!
