White lace is only fitting for a Mother’s Day brunch or spring special occasion.
I can’t get enough of the sweet ruffled detail on this lace off- the-shoulder dress. There’s so much subtle detail that I’ll forego jewelry and leave a bare neckline. I’ve been wearing these heather grey wrap sandals nonstop lately – they match everything (and also come in brown suede). The look feels sweet yet sophisticated, and calls for soft makeup and a feminine perfume.
I’m always been particular about scent. I love the idea of a fragrance adding that extra piece of personality and depth of character, but I want people to notice me first, not my perfume. I gravitate towards sweeter scents (but not sugary), especially those that get better over time. I usually have two or three favorite scents at a time that I rotate between, and I’ve been looking for a new one.
Bombshell is Victoria’s Secret’s original, classic scent, and it’s part floral, part fruity but has a deeper lingering vanilla note to it that settles nicely on your skin after a few hours. I noticed after spritzing it a few times while taking these photos that the room was blanketed in a subtle scent that was fresh, not overpowering.
Plus, the pink bottle and bow is so defiantly feminine, I can’t help but think of the whole confident, glamorous attitude that VS is known for. What can I say, I’m a sucker for packaging, but that aside the sweet scent definitely stands alone so it’s no wonder it’s won so many fragrance awards.
