I must admit before a couple weeks ago I can’t remember the last time I wore overalls (childhood?). I think I’ve rediscovered a classic – they’re surprisingly easy to style and there’s something fresh and all-American about them. My style is usually very feminine and put together, so I think the key here is to add pieces that contribute some polish to an otherwise very casual look. I’d wear denim overalls with a striped shirt underneath, nude pumps and a hat, but they’re equally appealing with a cropped top for the heat of summer (as shown here).

I hosted a fun event with Guess and Marie Claire a couple weeks back and chose these overalls for the night. It was a great night celebrating the new Flex Denim collection with music, treats and drinks.  Now I’m on the lookout for some overall shorts for the season! What do you think?
