Products I used: Blush, Bronzer Duo
I love trying new makeup, but I know what I love and what doesn’t work for me – so when something excites me I know it’s a special product! I was so excited to try the Temptu airbrush system after reading and hearing about it. A makeup artist once actually used it on me a year ago – I loved the smooth, dewy result but assumed it was too complicated to use at home. I was wrong!
I must admit I was a little intimidated when I opened the box and saw the multiple parts. I’ve been using liquid foundation and a kabuki brush forever, so my first thought was, “assembly required?!” But after glancing at the instruction sheet I realized it was super easy to use. All you have to do is pop an “air pod” (yes – this is makeup 2.0, get with the times!) into the spray handle, plug the system into your outlet and hit the on button. You’ll hear and feel a gentle stream of air blows out of the handle. Next, just squeeze the handle a bit and aim at your face (I held mine out about 6 inches away) and the makeup comes out in a mist. It’s light enough to allow you to build coverage slowly without worrying about overdoing it too fast. There’s an adjustable dial for pressure, which also helps you customize your coverage.
I’m a little paranoid when it comes to cleanliness – I wash my makeup brushes weekly and wipe down my bathroom counter (after all, your skin absorbs everything you put on it!) so I like the idea of hygienic makeup that packs and travels well. I definitely recommend the system! I used the foundation in a shade Beige 005, Blush in Jade Rose and the Bronzer Duo for some extra warmth.
You can shop Temptu’s system with a 20% code anytime from May 29th – June 28th by using the code “sophie20” – try it out and let me know what you think!
