One Bag, Four Ways

I’ve found the ultimate career bag: not only is it chic and beautifully made, it’s designed to support a busy woman’s everyday life.

I tend to reach for different bags for various occasions: everyday, travel, and work days. I’ve never quite found a bag that can do it all.  If I’m hopping on a flight or going from lunch to meetings and showrooms, I need something spacious. It has to be wide enough to carry my 17″ laptop (which I love for the screen size, but I always wish I settled on the MacBook Air while lugging my heavy laptop through security). That requirement alone usually eliminates half my purse collection. It also has to be a neutral color that will elevate a casual or dressy look, and durable enough to resist scratches at the airport.

I’ve found all these qualities in my gorgeous Senreve bag, plus 4 more – since it can be worn 4 ways! I find this so cool. Throw it over your shoulder, carry the top handle, wear it as a backpack or a crossbody. I’m not a backpack girl and I don’t think I’ve owned a backpack since the tenth grade, but I’m surprised at how much I wear this backpack-style. Having both hands free is so underrated! Especially at the airport, when you’re juggling all your things and trying to wheel luggage at the same time. Genius. The bag comes in several beautiful colors, but I settled on “sand.” I also love the blush pink, and you can’t go wrong with black.

These round sunnies are making so many appearances lately; you probably recognize them from recent posts. Round sunglasses are definitely my shape of the season, and I’ll be wearing them throughout the summer with everything. I paired a sweet white lace top with polished, no-rip jeans and the denim block heels that are constantly on rotation lately.

This Nightcap top is so unique; it looks like a high neck blouse from the front but the sides reveal a panel that connects the front and back. It’s the perfect way to show a little skin during the summer without wearing a crop top. I like the idea of a peek of skin at my sides instead of midriff showing; it’s something new after the age of the crop top. I found a bunch of gorgeous white lace options: this one shoulder number is another favorite I have my eye on.

Things have been hectic lately – I just returned home from Miami for the wedding of a good friend of mine. If you’re in town, go to the beautiful Faena hotel. The ceremony was right on the sand, followed by a candlelight dinner and dancing in the Faena theater. I haven’t been to Miami in years and I loved it; the energy was so fun and lively and the weather was perfect. We didn’t make it out much besides the wedding events since it was such a short trip, but we managed to explore the surrounding hotels, get some beach walks in, and do a long recovery brunch at Soho Beach House. I’m in town for a week now, then next up are Mexico and Cannes!

Find everything I’m wearing here below. I hope this week is treating you all well!
