Marc Jacobs Honey Spots

If you follow me on Instagram (@sophieelkus) you may have seen a few photos tagged with #MJHoneySpots. I was born and raised in Los Angeles and love the city, so I am thrilled to collaborate with Marc Jacobs to celebrate the Honey fragrance and share my own “honey spots” around LA! The campaign was the perfect excuse to take my friends to my favorite places.

Honey Spot 1: Larchmont Bungalow – My favorite brunch in LA. The inside of Bungalow resembles exactly that: a cozy, warm oasis perfect for a latte or Sunday eggs benedict. Bungalow is famous for its “Red Velvet Pancakes” (see it to believe it). Grab some brunch and then pop over to Library boutique next door.

Honey Spot 2: Eveleigh – “The best outdoor patio dining in LA” is no joke. Eveleigh has a gorgeous little garden patio that glows in candlelight at sundown, right in the middle of the Sunset Strip. The menu is seasonal and fresh farm-to-table inspired and the inside room ceiling opens up, perfect for dining on warm nights (which is often in LA). The decor is very “farm chic,” sort of rustic-meets-library with lots of leather and wooden accents to offset the food and artisan cocktails.

Honey Spot 3: Reformation – A girlfriend introduced me to Reformation and I was surprised I’d gone so long in LA without frequenting this spot! The inside of the store is vintage-inspired and minimalistic. Find flowing dresses, leather skirts, cashmere sweaters and leather moto jackets here.

Here are some additional favorite spots:

Favorite Shops: Madison, Intermix, Principessa (Venice), Planet Blue, Barneys, Topshop, Style Haus

Restaurants/Bars: Il Fico (Italian, West Hollywood) Cafe Gratitude, M Cafe de Chaya (Vegan, West Hollywood) The Bungalow Santa Monica (bar/lounge), Taverna Tony (Italian, Malibu), Perch (Downtown)

If you’re visiting LA and looking for suggestions, or already live here, feel free to email me for shopping, dining, salon suggestions – I will share all my secrets!

Honey by Marc Jacobs is a sunny delicious floral – energetic and alluring, with a sparkling, golden touch. The perfect mix of brightness and warmth. The fragrance energizes with the freshness of green pear brightened with a splash of fruity punch and juicy mandarin. At the heart of the fragrance is orange blossom, a note of sparkling femininity that mingles with nectars of honeysuckle and peach. Honey, vanilla, and smooth woods dry down to a warm, golden base.
